Karen Monahan is Director of Interactive Production at Wieden+Kennedy New York and has been a digital evangelist and strategist for over 10 years. Motivated by a collaborative design process, she has led teams in both large and small agencies, with expertise in innovative interactive campaign work, major brand global relaunches and e-commerce platforms. Notable clients include Sony and Sony Pictures, L'Oreal, Axe and Verizon. Prior to joining W+K, she held positions at BBH, Perfect Fools, Big Spaceship and R/GA. In addition to garnering many major awards for her advertising work, she was also a SIGGRAPH 2002 selected conference contributor and has served as speaker and guest lecturer for several conferences and universities.

Before starting her career in advertising, Karen was the assistant chair of the digital design department at Parsons School of Design, from which she received her master's degree in design and technology and BFA in fine art.
