Joel Templin has enjoyed a successful design career spanning more than 23 years. He has been recognized as one of the most sought-after design professionals in the country and continues to innovate and create distinctive work for some of the world’s biggest brands. Joel co-founded Hatch Design in the spring of 2007, clients have included Apple, Benefit Cosmetics, Coca-Cola, Dolby and Starbucks, among others.

After completing his graphic design degree at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Joel moved to Minneapolis, where he worked at Gardner Design before joining the highly influential firm Charles S. Anderson Design (CSA). In 1996, he helped found Foote Cone & Belding’s internal retail design group in San Francisco, where he created retail, branding and packaging programs for Levi Strauss & Co. Joel then co-founded Templin Brink Design (T.B.D.), and for nine years, he created award-winning work for clients such as American Eagle Outfitters, Apple, Coca-Cola, Levi Strauss & Co., Target Stores, and Williams-Sonoma.
