2017 One Show Public Relations Jury
Global PR Director
You will often hear people at Wieden+Kennedy say "The Work Comes First," a phrase that has guided the agency's devotion to making some of the best creative in the industry for more than three decades. W+K creates strong and provocative relationships between good companies and their customers, relationships built on a value exchange and making things that people want to interact with, share and talk about.
This is at the core of the work Rebecca's team does at the agency, both for the W+K brand as well as for a number of clients. As Global Director of Public Relations, she oversees internal and external communications for the agency's eight offices globally, including corporate communications, media relations, editorial and social content strategy, public affairs, and strategic planning for the agency brand. She is actively reshaping and building out W+K's PR offering with recognition of the critical, and growing importance of content, earned, and owned media in successful brand communications.
In addition to her role at W+K, Rebecca has a decade of experience working in various PR, production and communications roles across both the business and non-profit world. She has driven communication strategies for a national children's advocacy organization, a youth development and creative arts education program, and a world-class talent agency.
She is a graduate of The Colorado College, with a B.A. in Political Science and History, serves as an advisor and board member for various local and national organizations, and currently lives in Portland, Oregon.
