Adriana Cury, Chairwoman and Chief Creative Officer of McCann Erickson Brazil, currently shares control over the agency with Luca Lindner, CEO of McCann Erickson Brazil and McCann Worldgroup Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. Adriana began her career in advertising as a copywriter. She worked at several different agencies including MPM, Leo Burnett, AlmapBBDO, Lowe, Colucci and Ogilvy. At Colucci, she was among the ten most award-winning professionals in the market. Because of this performance, she was invited to be a judge for the Press & Poster category at Cannes in 2001. Under her direction as Creative Vice-President, for two consecutive years Ogilvy obtained the second place ranking for most creative agency and the third place for WPP in 2003 and 2004. With eight Lions and several other awards throughout her career, in 2006 she was invited to be a judge for the Titanium Lions category at Cannes, making her the sole female, Brazilian and representative of Latin America. She is also a two-time nominee for Forbes Brazil's "Most Influential Women of Brazil" award and is a two-time winner of Brazil's highest advertising sector award, the Caboré, for "Creative Professional in 2006" and "Advertising Professional of the Year." Under her leadership, McCann received the "Agency of the Year in 2006" award granted by Colunistas and About magazine (Voto Popular) and for the first time in 30 years the "Best Creative Performance" award. In 2006, McCann also received the "Marketing Best" award with the case "O Ano da Virada" (The Turning Point). In 2007, Adriana was invited to be part of the McCann Worldgroup's 13-member World Creative Committee. She has also been named among the 10 most trustworthy advertising executives, according to a study conducted by Seleções Magazine (Reader's Digest).
