Young Guns is a portfolio competition awarding creative professionals 30 years and under, including designers, illustrators, entrepreneurs, and more!
1998: Realizing it had struck a chord with the creative community, the Art Directors Club launched Young Guns 2, putting out a call for more New York-based nominations. By way of a ten-person selection committee, 93 young artists and designers were welcomed into the second Young Guns class.

Deacon Webster
Walrus
Deacon is the chief creative officer Walrus, the agency he co-founded in 2005. He spent most of his early career at Mad Dogs & Englishmen where he began as a junior copywriter. During his eleven year tenure he opened and led their San Francisco office, and eventually became Partner and Chief Creative officer of the New York headquarters. He has had his work appear in all the major industry shows including ADC Young Guns, D&AD, the One Show, Cannes, Communication Arts, and the Effies. He is a graduate of the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. He is extremely pale.
