Mark Schöller started his working life with a stint in consumer packaged goods marketing, which left him slightly disillusioned. Never one to dwell on failed vocations, he hung up his marketing boots, bought some thongs (Australian for flip-flops) and moved Down Under, where the lure of sun, surf and skin cancer compelled him to take up a career in… advertising.

Over the past 12 or so years, he has worked at agencies including JWT Sydney, Leo Burnett Sydney and Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami, sinking his teeth into a variety of brands and products – from fast food to fast cars to corn flakes and flaky scalp relief.

Currently an Executive Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi New York, Mark has been leading accounts such as Head & Shoulders, Charter Spectrum, GSK, Tecate, General Mills, and all things veterans on Walmart, where he was responsible for creating the single largest veteran support movement in the United States to date.

As for those awards this industry seems to be obsessed with, he’s been fortunate enough to score all the usual (and not-so-usual) suspects, including Cannes, D&AD, One Show, Clios, Webbys, London International, New York Festivals, Epica, Effies, and even something called the Glossy Awards. His work at Saatchi & Saatchi also helped the New York office become Creativity’s Comeback Agency in 2016.

In his spare time, he loathes writing third-person bios, but loves travelling, riding roller coasters and imbibing red wine. Not too much, mind you, for it takes him back to those unfulfilled marketing days.
