After working in Moscow and Brazil, Sam landed at DDB New York where he created the popular Hashtag Killer campaign for the charity WaterIsLife. Buzzfeed, Business Insider, Mashable and Adweek all listed it among their top 10 best campaigns of the year. Both the campaign and the individual commercial have been added to the Department of Film's permanent collection archive at the Museum of Modern Art.

Sam has been recognized by every major awards show, including multiple Gold Lions at Cannes, The Art Director's Club and The One Show.

In 2013 and 2014, he was ranked as the number one art director in the United States by Campaign Brief.

In 2015, Waterislife's The Drinkable Book was named one of TIME magazine's 25 best Inventions of the year.

For the second straight year, Sam was selected as one of Business Insider's 30 Most Creative people under the age of 30.

Most recently, his work for Krylon spray paint won Deutch's first ever Titanium Lion at the Cannes International Advertising Festival, awarded to game-changing work that marks a new direction for the industry and moves it forward.

Currently a Creative Director at Deutsch New York, Sam is a life-long Cubs fan who can now die in peace.
