Wayne Deakin is Executive Creative Director at AKQA's London office. He has over 20 years of industry experience and has held creative leadership positions in Australia, Europe and the US. Originally from Australia, Wayne started his career in Brisbane and he is a graduate of AWARD School.  

Wayne has created a number of marketing firsts, and his work has been highlighted as best in class by the likes of Tumblr, Instagram and other platforms. His work has also been recognised internationally with more than 150 awards.

  Wayne is singularly focussed on creating ideas that move businesses forward by providing meaningful and original experiences for their customers. In addition to his global work portfolio, Wayne has earned an MA in Semiotics and Cognitive Sciences from the Queensland University of Technology. He regularly contributes to industry publications such as The Drum, Fast Company, and Campaign.
