Ronald Reagan was running for re-election in 1984. The campaign ads were created by the Tuesday Team. The team included three, One Club Hall of Famers. Phil Dusenberry, Hal Riney and Jerry Della Femina. They decided against the hard sell and went in the direction of inspiring little stories. The ads were collectively known as "Morning in America". This particular, familiar spot, is called "Prouder, Stronger, Better" Hal Riney is the voice that is narrating.
