FROM THE ARCHIVES

September 04, 2012

Being that we're in the middle of the Conventions and the election for President of the USA is right around the corner, the Archives thought we should start pulling out some political advertising. One of the most well known and controversial ads was for Lyndon B. Johnson's campaign in 1964, when he ran against Barry Goldwater. Interesting tactic against Goldwater, meanwhile escalating the Vietnam War. The ad only ran once, September 7, 1964. The ad was created by Doyle Dane Bernbach.
