Saul Bass has been on my mind lately. I recently saw Vertigo and his credit sequence is just amazing. He was inducted into The One Club's Creative Hall of Fame in 2010. He designed movie posters, created Logos and made the first original movie title sequences, among other things. The Archive department had the pleasure of researching Saul's work for the induction.

He worked with some big time directors on movies, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Otto Preminger and Martin Scorsese... My favorite is a movie called It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. If you remember the movie, it's a real farce. Old Hollywood at it's best. The title sequence is brilliant, worth looking into.
