Volkswagen and Deutsch LA, who teamed up to create the lovable "The Force" spot, have unveiled a new commercial called "Pinata." Featuring their target demographic once again (young, upper-middle class family with kids), the spot shows a kid trying to crack open a pinata. We see the punchline towards the end, but there's not a whole lot more to it. Which is why it works. It's refreshing to see a simple spot with a simple message all wrapped up in a gently humorous package that doesn't try too hard.
