HP Inspires Us to Reignite Our Creativity with "Jane"
On Monday, July 20, HP released the international film “Jane” as the debut to their new campaign “Go Make Things” for Sprout by HP, a revolutionary new computing platform.
Coupling the power of an advanced desktop with an immersive natural user interface, Sprout breaks down the barriers between the digital and physical worlds. The products’ easy-to-use digital interface allows anyone to capture any object, reimagine it digitally, and then bring the creation to life in the real world.
Partnering with 180LA, HP aims to illustrate what this new category of computing can do, the ease from which almost any idea we have can be realized through sprout. We too often have an idea and do nothing about it, sprout is the perfect tool to go from thought to expression in an instant.
As children our imaginations soar and creativity abounds. But as we grow older, for various reasons, our creativity seems quelled and our routines take over. The film shows “Jane”—a protagonist who has lost her spirit to create—inspired by her daughter to keep imagination alive. The Silverlake Conservatory children's choir performs a rendition of Roger Hodgson’s “The Logical Song” throughout in a perfect parallel.
Directed by award-winning cinematographer Lance Acord, the film draws the consumer in emotionally and gives us permission to take ideas and make them real.
The campaign is the first new creative work from HP’s Personal Systems Group since Antonio Lucio, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, joined HP from Visa in May.
