Headquartered in Washington D.C. and founded in 1984, CTIA represents the U.S. wireless communications companies that enable Americans to lead a 21st century connected life. We promote the wireless industry through education, events, and advocacy and coordinate its efforts to provide consumers with a variety of choices and information about the products and services that are available.

We are an association whose members constantly define the technological cutting edge, and we are looking for a Creative Director to help transform our organization and infuse creativity and design thinking into our mission and our operations.

Who You Are

You are a creative with a strong design background, but versatility is in your DNA, having worked in different capacities across a variety of disciplines from print, to events, motion, and video.

You are also a writer who is comfortable providing guidance to advertising copywriters and scriptwriters alike.

You know how to lead, inspire, and mentor a creative team so that they continuously produce excellent work, grow their careers, and remain committed to CTIA.

You are a diplomatic, engaging presenter who can articulate a strong creative vision to your team as well as senior management.

Your high-standards don't get in the way of delivering timely, realistic communications and marketing solutions that take into consideration a wide range of opinions and input across the organization.

In fact, you pride yourself in operating in a lean, agile, no-nonsense, focus-on-the-essentials fashion. You work well when surrounded by uncertainty, and thrive under pressure.

You are both a problem solver and a design educator, helping our entire organization increasingly embrace the creative practice as an integral and strategic part of our business.


2 ? 3 years minimum of experience as a Creative Director

10 years minimum of professional creative experience

Skilled in multiple aspects of the creative discipline, such as branding, publication design, infographics, digital, social, events, video, and motion graphics.

BA in Design. Fine Arts or equivalent.
