Conceptualizes, designs and produces art and copy layouts for material to be presented by visual communications media such as print and outdoor advertisements, digital campaigns, social media campaigns, Museum signage, print collateral, logos and other brand identity materials. Produces creative concepts for campaigns for special exhibitions and other programs ensuring quality and uniformity of the Discovery Place brand. Works with print vendors to oversee production process to ensure quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets direction for visual look/feel of all Discovery Place produced marketing creative.
Conceptualizes, creates and produces final digital art for multiple projects at Discovery Place Science, Discovery Place Nature and Discovery Place Kids.
Studies copy points, project goals, past projects, sample materials and other inputs to develop creative directions and alternatives. Presents alternatives for selection and approval.
Works with key art and graphic guidelines provided by exhibition and movie producers to develop campaigns and materials.
Develops creative for print, digital, social, outdoor, signage and collateral.
Sets the visual direction for the Discovery Place brand including the Museum brands (Discovery Place Science, Discovery Place Nature, Discovery Place Kids)
Maintains brand standards across all platforms.
Provides guidance to other departments as needed.
Coordinates with Exhibitions to keep the look/feel of Discovery Place marketing efforts consistent with those being implemented programmatically in the Museums.
Project Management and Production:
Prioritizes and tracks schedules for multiple projects from creative development through production.
Creates finished artwork files and prepares instructors for printers or installers. Reviews proofs as needed.
Supervises outside vendors such as printers and sign installers. Oversees production and installation process. Does quality control checks as needed.
Maintains files of logos, photos and project artwork and other source materials.
