UX Designer - Marketing Focus

Help millions of potential customers discover the value of Animoto. We are seeking a UX designer to bring strategic design thinking and human-centered process to our Marketing and Marketing Engineering initiatives while also helping improve the practice of design at Animoto.

Your work will be informed by first-hand user observation as well as insights from intersecting disciplines. You will lead design solutions for our marketing website, sign-up and registration flows, first-time experience, and dashboards. You will collaborate with a product manager, a visual designer and engineers within a full-stack team. You will also work closely with a UX researcher, our marketing and customer-facing teams, and other UX designers.

Being successful here will require a proactive approach when working individually, and an open-minded approach when working collaboratively. We are looking for thoughtful designers, so communicating as well verbally as you do visually is essential.



-Collaborate with a product manager, visual designer, and engineers to define and implement a cohesive, engaging, and effective total web experience for potential and returning customers

-Work with a UX researcher to unpack complex user issues and build our understanding of customers

-Bring human-centered design thinking and an iterative learning-driven approach to our marketing presence, from innovating on the IA of a pricing page to streamlining our conversion strategy

-Create flows, wires, prototypes, and other UX artifacts as needed to effectively communicate design ideas

-Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and stakeholders and guide the collection, synthesis and integration of feedback

-Design for real users. Our product is used by millions of people 

-Ship elegant and thoughtful design in an agile environment

-Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards


-Design geek who is passionate about the practice and evolution of UX design.

-T-shaped designer with a broad awareness of culture and technology and deep knowledge in one or more facets of human-centered design, and/or marketing design.

-User-centered, process/validation driven problem-solvers with exceptional visual design sensibilities

-3+ years of UX design experience working in agile with product managers and engineers

-A strong portfolio with case studies demonstrating creative problem-solving based on an understanding of marketing needs and empathy with customers

-Understanding of how to utilize qualitative and quantitative findings in the design process

-Demonstrable knowledge of responsive web design, HTML, and CSS

-Collaborative and articulate individuals with proven ability to work across teams

-Expert skills with the tools of the trade: Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Invision, Marvel, Proto.io, Principle

-Working knowledge of scalable and seamless web experiences
