The role of Senior Art Director is to aid in the creative vision for the umbrella Nickelodeon brand and all high profile events, and to establish and provide design for all those projects. Projects include include brand and tentpole event style guides and collateral, OOH advertising, premiums, presentations and experiential and event design.This position reports to Design Director of Brand and Events, Nickelodeon Creative Resources.


+ Execute and provide direction for excellent design that translates the attitude and value of the brand across all lines of business
+ Adapt new designs and integrate personal design strengths with established styles to extend and refresh brand design aesthetic
+ Function as design leader for creation of brand and various other style guides
+ Work with the Nickelodeon LOB's and outside partners in brand development
+ Work with the Nickelodeon LOB's in creating and executing art and graphic materials to fulfill their business needs
+ Establish a high level of design and aesthetic excellence that will enhance the brand
+ Maintain a consistent interpretation of the brand for all off-channel use
+ Safeguard and promote the Nickelodeon brand and maintain the creative visions of the company
+ Explore and initiate new and exciting ways to communicate the brand sensibilities
+ Supervise and review design work to ensure that all goals are met and creative quality is upheld to a high standard
+ Explore new design avenues that will enhance the brand and its vision
+ Research and source new design elements to enhance the brand (including fonts, color palettes, patterns, and other graphic materials etc etc)
+ Review product and graphic material relative to concept, design, art style, typography, composition and color
+ Approve art and design of submissions; may be trusted to be final authority on minor issues
+ Stay current in design trends and new technology
+ Research new talent and resources to support the brand and its growth including designers, character artists, production support and outside vendors
+ Work with Design Director to develop concept boards for new business based on creative strategy
+ Assist the Design Director by periodically conducting design team meetings to discuss the brand, projects and other design issues
+ Establish, monitor and maintain style guide budget in cooperation with the Project Manager
+ Meet with Project Managers to discuss new projects including goals, budgets and delivery date
+ Meet with the Design Director to forecast art and design needs, receive assignments and overall creative feedback
+ Aid in training other designers and junior designers in the Nickelodeon businesses

? 6+ years design experience
? Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
? Significant experience with print production
? Strong written and oral communication skills
