Your Team:

Philips Lighting Design's mission is, apart from delivering top-notch product design and impactful user interfaces, to contribute to finding new meaning for lighting solutions, beyond cost and energy efficiency, in order to bring applications of light in a way that is desirable for people.


Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for defining digital visual branding language and compelling, intuitive interfaces for a broad range of lighting related digital solutions for the professional market. You will be responsible for the style guides and standards, and all stages of design including concept generation, wireframes, visual design, while working in close collaboration with a best-in-class team of software developers focused on creating a coherent and seamless user experience throughtout Philips Lighting digital solutions.


Your Challenge:

Foster a culture of excellence in User Experience integrated the Design Studio/ Americas of Philips Lighting.

Establish the relationships and connections with all relevant Philips Lighting Americas stakeholders as well as with the rest of Philips Lighting Design Organization.

Leverage the local design and development community already in place, mentor and nurture its growth.


As Senior User Interface Designer for Philips Lighting Design Americas, you will contribute to the growth of the business by showing evidence of having adopted and followed a User-Centered Design Process, and by providing the right User Interface Design support to key markets for our company ? this at a time where the lighting industry is in a deep transformation, with new opportunities around two major technology changing waves, firstly LED, and then connectivity.



Bachelors Degree from a reputed design institute in Interaction Design

6 years of relevant user centered, digital design experience

Experience working with agile methods

Experience with typical design tools such as Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign,

Good understanding of programming languages such as HTML/CSS and software development processes

Preferered skills in the following tools: Axure RP, Specctr
