New Officers include Ari Merkin, Kara Goodrich & Steve Sandstrom

Kevin Roddy, Chief Creative Officer of Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH New York) will be the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of The One Club, it was announced today by Mary Warlick, CEO of The One Club, the world’s foremost non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in advertising and design.
Roddy, currently a member of the board, was elected at The One Club’s board meeting held last week following the organization’s successful first ever “Creative Week NYC.” He will succeed David Baldwin, who will remain on the board of directors for the coming year.
Three new officers to the board were also announced: Ari Merkin, (Toy New York) will be The One Club’s new secretary / treasurer; Kara Goodrich, (BBDO New York) and Steve Sandstrom, Sandstrom Partners Portland will both serve as Vice Chairpersons.
“I am really excited about working with the new officers on the board. Kevin Roddy has been a mainstay in The One Club’s tremendous growth and achievements over the last few years,” said Mary Warlick, CEO of The One Club. “He is probably the only board member that has won two Best of Shows at the One Show. The One Club’s strength and prestige is directly related to our board of directors who are extremely talented people who are actively supporting the mission of The One Club.”

Last month, The One Club hosted their inaugural “Creative Week NYC” which included the 34th Annual One Show (the Oscars® of advertising) honoring the best in print, radio and television, One Show Interactive, One Show Design and the first Creative unConference to be held in New York with advertising as its theme among several other events.
This August 21st, The One Club’s feature documentary “Art & Copy” directed by Doug Pray which was the acclaimed hit of the Sundance Film Festival, will premiere at the IFC Center in New York. Other recent projects of The One Club include its first Los Angeles-based “One Show Entertainment Awards” recognizing outstanding creative achievements by brands in the realm of entertainment including judges Matthew Weiner (“Mad Men”) and Brett Ratner (director of “X-Men: The Last Stand”).
