One Show Interactive Best Of The Digital Decade Gala

The One Club Honors the Best Interactive Advertising of the Past Decade

(New York, NY January 12, 2010) – The One Club honored the best in digital advertising with the Digital Decade Gala at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City last night. The One Club, the world's foremost non-profit organization devoted to promoting creative excellence in the advertising industry, gathered an esteemed group of One Show Interactive Judges from the past decade to select the top ten digital works from 2001-2010. One hundred judges selected work displayed online at oneclub.org/digitaldecade.

The Digital Decade gala on January 11 featured M.C. Australian Idol's Josh Zepps. Attendees included Rob Reilly, Jeff Benjamin and Andrew Keller from CP+B for their work for Burger King – Subservient Chicken and Whopper Sacrifice; Tham Khai Meng, Nancy Vonk, Janet Kestin from Ogilvy, celebrating their agency's work on Dove Evolution; Danielle Flagg and Tyler Whisnand, Creative Directors on Livestrong/Chalkbot by Wieden+Kennedy; Bruce Bildsten from Fallon for their work on BMW films; Nick Law and Bob Greenberg from R/GA for their work on Nike; David Lubars of BBDO and his team for HBO; Mike Hughes from The Martin Agency; and Mark Tutssel, Global Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett.

"The agencies who are in the forefront with the best digital works are also those agencies who successfully chartered new ground in traditional media, agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy, Crispin Porter Bogusky, BBDO, Fallon and Ogilvy. These agencies have always put creative communication first and foremost," commented Mary Warlick, Chief Executive Officer of The One Club.

"The industry turned out in force. We were thrilled to host an occasion where the brightest minds in advertising, traditional and digital, and their clients could join together in celebration." said Kevin Swanepoel, president of The One Club. "Joining us were Shin Odake, CEO of Uniqlo, Tom Stepanchak, Jim McDowell from BMW as well as Courtney Monroe and Eric Kessler from HBO – the clients joined their agencies to ring in the New Year. Despite the weather forecast of 12-20 inches and an impassable blizzard, we filled the venue."
