NEW YORK (May 11, 2005) - The One Show, the advertising industry's most prestigious awards ceremony, announced the winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils this evening, May 11th at Jazz at Lincoln Center in the Time Warner Center. The One Show awards produced by The One Club, a not-for-profit organization, celebrated its 30th anniversary before an audience of more than 800 industry professionals. The competition has expanded to include One Show Interactive and One Show Design, integrating all disciplines within the advertising industry.

At the One Show, the agencies receiving the most number of awards were: the TBWA network with 14 Pencils; Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide with nine; and DDB Worldwide with eight Pencils. One Show Interactive awarded 12 Pencils to Crispin Porter + Bogusky for clients such as Burger King, MINI and Virgin Atlantic Airways. The Ogilvy network had four Pencils in One Show Interactive. Goodby, Silverstein & Partners was awarded four Pencils for clients including Hewlett-Packard and Saturn.

For the first time in the 30-year history of the One Show, a Gold-winning entry from the Middle East took top honors. Tonic Communications, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was lauded for its print spread for Sony, entitled "Paperclip."

The contenders in all competitions were selected from a record-breaking 17,000 entries from 57 countries around the world.
