One Show Interactive Honors 2006 Pencil Winners

NEW YORK, NY (May 12, 2006) - One Show Interactive, the most prestigious competition for new media and online advertising, awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Pencils from over 33 countries worldwide, on May 12th at Skylight Studios in New York City. Produced by The One Club, the foremost non-profit organization for recognizing and promoting creative excellence, One Show Interactive celebrated the year's best work in new media, including Web sites, banners, brand gaming, viral and integrated branding.

One Show Interactive Highlights
"Best in Show" went to Crispin Porter + Bogusky for its commercial spot "Counterfeit Integrated" on behalf of MINI. Creatively mocking the fake Prada bags and Nike sneakers sidewalk-market, the MINI Counterfeit campaign hilariously knocks off their own black market trend with the creation of the CCC, the Counter Counterfeit Commission. Dedicated to stopping the spread of fake MINI Coopers, this watchdog group's efforts included a 10-minute DVD advertised on national television, a brochure comparing real and fake MINIs, alert messages in automotive classified publications (conveniently placed immediately after ads for counterfeit MINIs), and a grass roots street team effort at the New York Auto Show. Furthermore, counterfeitmini.org served as a resource for consumers tip off the CCC on suspected fake MINIs.

"MINI's interactive campaign was one of this year's great creative ideas and it was terrifically executed across many media platforms," said Kevin Swanepoel, Marketing and Interactive Director of The One Club.

At the One Show Interactive, the agencies receiving the highest number of awards were Crispin Porter + Bogusky, with 9 Pencils, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, with 5 Pencils. The top client winners included MINI, Nike, Ikea, Playstation, Adidas, Altoids, and Xbox.

The top Pencil winners at this year's One Show Interactive (in a breakdown by office) include:

Crispin Porter + Bogusky: 9 Total (1 Gold, 2 Silver, 5 Bronze)

Goodby, Silverstein & Partners: 5 Total (1 Gold, 4 Bronze)

Forsman Brothers: 2 Total (1 Gold, 1 Silver)

DDB Brasil: 2 Total (1 Gold, 1 Silver)
