The One Club Showcases selections of the best and most talked about ads of today
New York, NY (November 21, 2008)
– The One Club celebrates the holiday season with their Third Annual “New York State of Mind” exhibit and party. The annual event showcases Madison Avenue providing an opportunity for the New York ad community to come together. Following an opening night holiday party, which is invitation only, the exhibit will be open to the public beginning December 9 and runs through Jan. 13.
Several of the most influential advertising agencies in New York have selected from their own ad campaigns the work they consider to be the best for this exciting exhibit, with many being for New York-based clients. Participating agencies include: Agency.com; BBDO New York; BBH New York; DDB; DeVito/Verdi; Firstborn; McCann Erickson; Ogilvy/Mather NY; Pentagram; Publicis NY; R/GA; Saatchi & Saatchi New York; SS+K; TBWA/Chiat/Day; Wieden+Kennedy New York; Y&R and many other top agencies.
“The exhibit features some of the newest work produced by cutting edge advertising and design shops in New York,” said Mary Warlick, CEO of The One Club, a non-profit organization that promotes excellence in advertising. “Both big and small agencies have been invited to exhibit their best work.”
Playing off of the visual on the invitation, specially designed DVD covers with a reel of the TV work being shown at the exhibition will be sold for $10 with the proceeds benefiting Cancer 101. Cancer 101 provides important resources that help empower cancer patients and caregivers to take control over their treatment choices.
The opening party has a suggested donation of $10, with proceeds going to Cancer 101. Exhibit hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call The One Club at (212) 979-1900.
