Richard Boynton is a designer and co-founder of the Minneapolis-based Wink. Founded in 2000, Wink aspires to impact not only commerce but culture, and to date, Boynton and partner Scott Thares have worked for such clients as Target, Marshall Field's, MTV, Nike, Turner Classic Movies, Blu Dot, Chronicle Books, Gateway Computers, The New York Times, and L'Abbaye College (in Pontlevoy, France). With projects ranging from (but not exclusive to) brand identities and systems, packaging, annual reports, brochures, books, collateral, posters, promotions, advertising (print and television), interior design and exterior signage. Their work has received recognition in such publications as Communication Arts, I.D., Graphis, Print, the AIGA, New York Art Directors Club, and the Type Directors Club, among various others.

Boynton received his B.F.A. in graphic design from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. He began his career in 1994 as a designer with Design Guys, until several years later when accepted a position as a senior designer with his favorite designer and mentor Haley Johnson of Haley Johnson Design Company. Just prior to co-founding Wink, Boynton served as the design director of advertising agency (and Ogilvy & Mather Syndicate' member) Hunt Adkins. In 1999, Boynton was named to Print's New Visual Artists Review (profiling 20 of the most "promising young talents in graphic design, advertising, illustration, and new media" under 30.)
