Born in Florence, Italy, with wine making origins, Piero has studied
biology in the US. In the summer of 1991 a motorcycle ride in the
Tuscan hills has brought him in contact with a British film production.
A fortuitous encounter that has made him drop his Biology studies and
work as an assistant director for a number on international films and
commercials. In 1997, Piero was pushed by friends into interactive
media, starting unit9, and moving to London. There has been no looking
back. The human dimension of interactive communication, the lack of
boundaries of the internet, and the emotional awareness of active
advertising, have quickly become his main passion and creative focus.
As creative director of unit9, Piero has collaborated with agencies and
brands alike on every aspect of online communication, picking a few
awards along the way. He believes that great communication in all media
is achieved through human environments, story telling, and dramatic
rhythm. In the current crowded, hectic and loud online panorama, he is
reaching for simplicity.
