The One Club’s award-winning Creative Boot Camp comes to Chicago for the first time, bringing together creative directors, educators and multicultural students to experience creative advertising as a career. The four-day workshop will be held March 29-April 1, 2012, at Columbia College space located at 1104 South Wabash Avenue, 8th Floor, Chicago, IL.

Sponsored by Chicago’s famed Leo Burnett agency and national content sponsor Getty Images, Creative Boot Camp Chicago enables students to conceptualize and build an ad campaign for a real client from the ground up. Open to college and university students interested in advertising or marketing, The One Club program was designed to offer students from multicultural backgrounds a hands-on experience in advertising and shows them the tools necessary to pursue a career in the field. Students interested in participating in the four-day workshop must register online at http://www.oneclub.org/chicagobootcamp. Only 100 students will be accepted for the March program in Chicago.

“Building on the past two years of successful Creative Boot Camps in New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles, we’re excited to be hosting the four-day workshop in Chicago,” said Tiffany Edwards, education and diversity director at The One Club. “The goal of The One Club program is to inspire minority students and introduce them to new opportunities in the world of advertising and, hopefully, lead them on their path to creative internships and jobs after graduation.”

Created for future advertising and design creatives and run by creatives currently working in the industry, Creative Boot Camp has received the prestigious Mosaic Award for Multiethnic Student Program from the American Advertising Federation (AAF).

"At Leo Burnett, we've built a creative and innovative environment where the very best talent in the industry can thrive," said Debbie Bougdanos, Director of Talent Acquisition at Leo Burnett. "We are proud to sponsor The One Club's Creative Boot Camp in Chicago to help foster and cultivate a diverse group of future talent for our industry."

On its primary mission to support the next generation of advertising and design creatives, The One Club Education and Diversity Department offers several programs throughout the year in addition to Creative Boot Camp. They include the College Competition, Annual Student Exhibition, seasonal Portfolio Reviews that connect premier industry creatives with aspiring students and young professionals for invaluable one-on-one critiques, and the much talked about Where Are All The Black People? career fair.
