UN taps creative community to tackle the COVID-19 epidemic
As you may be aware, we at The One Club for Creativity have maintained an ongoing relationship with the United Nations Office for Partnerships. And now, with the world in the midst of a pandemic unlike any of us has ever experienced, we are more than willing to share the UN's latest initiative with our friends in the global creative community.
“Global Call to Creatives: An Open Brief from the United Nations” is just what its name suggests: a worldwide challenge to creatives to lend their immense talents and imaginations to help the UN and its World Health Organization to communicate how to avoid or minimize the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak. Because this coronavirus is poised to reach every corner of the globe, the organization is in need of strong, impactful messaging for all languages, cultures, communities and platforms — they need to reach everybody, everywhere.

WHO is looking for creatives of all types to develop social media, digital publishing, streaming video, broadcast video and radio campaigns in eighteen different world languages, all geared towards spreading messages under six different themes:
- Personal Hygiene
- Social Distancing
- Knowing the Symptoms
- Kindness Contagion
- Myth Busters
- Do More, Donate
It doesn't matter if you're a world-renowned creative director with years of advertising experience, or a design student with a head of ideas and a future full of promise; this is an unprecedented opportunity for everyone to step up and offer their skills to an increasingly urgent cause. Together we can flatten the curve and build global solidarity.
