About the Work

In over 30 countries in the world, citizens are deprived of their freedom for having different political beliefs. Their lives have been threatened. Some of them have been imprisoned, tortured, and even executed. Amnesty International is a global organization with more than 7 million members focused on human rights. They hope to drive more attention to human right problems and appeal to more people to help with the poster. We created a series of impressive poster. We chose those ‘heads’ of dictatorships, such as Kim Jong-un and Robert Gabriel Mugabe and made their figures into illustrations. The heads are consist of wire mesh, inferring their ‘mind prison’. Through the mesh, dark figures of the prisoners are revealed, being cruelly tortured or executed. The scene symbolizes that the dissidents are trampled over by the authoritarian. The powerful vision expresses our concern to human rights.
