The stock footage platform Artgrid chose Clim Studio to become one of their first Animation providers. Clim Studio did already 3 series for them. ART LOOPS - https://www.studioclim.com/work/artgrid-art-loops/ The first serie we created. Artgrid came to us with a simple yet challenging brief: a cohesive family of 5 Abstract / Art looping animations. Firstly paying attention to composition, elements, textures and color. Secondly, creating visual contrast by mixing organic elements with glossy and glassy spherical objects. Those were our tools to create fun moving pieces of art with a sober set design, soft lighting and both bold and delicate props. PATTERN SERIES - https://www.studioclim.com/work/artgrid-patterns/ After winning Artgrid’s trust with our previous Art Loops Series, the stock footage platform asked us to create something fun to include on their always-growing catalogue. So we said “Let’s Go Patterns!” and so we did. We offered them an extensive texture-rich library of shapes that could be composed and animated in multiple ways. From very simple editorial compositions to more complex looping choreographies. 5 A DAY SERIES - https://www.studioclim.com/work/artgrid-5aday/ On the third round, when a Carte Blanche is given “What can we offer to an always-growing catalogue of stock footage?”. “5 a Day”, seemed like a healthy concept to explore. The series contains 5 pieces made with Fruits and Vegetables. Nothing less, nothing more. A very sober-looking series that brings attention to the animation. A very classic still-life look opposed to something that feels contemporary. Animation felt like the perfect modern companion. A digital-inspired movement that clashes conceptually with nature. Artgrid Series needs to be perceived as a growing library of animation experiments celebrating Design and Animation. We hope to make it bigger in the upcoming years. Thank you.
