About the Work
MOCA (the Museum of Chinese in Australia) is a new museum based in Sydney’s Chinatown, due to open in 2023. Its founders were galvanized into action after the hateful rhetoric around the coronavirus, and the effect it had on the Chinese Australian community – businesses closed, tourism declined, and Chinatown’s rich, cultural legacy was at risk. A legacy that dates back over 200 years.
We were briefed to create a brand for the museum that could help it gain traction, awareness and raise funding, while also strengthening the Chinese Australian community.
