Arisu Kashiwagi

Arisu Kashiwagi is an Emmy-winning director and designer based in New York. Born in Japan and raised in Los Angeles, Arisu graduated from Yale University in 2005 with her B.A. in Fine Arts, Graphic Design. She joined Imaginary Forces after graduation, and in 2007 started her career as an independent director and designer. She is currently represented by MA+Creative. In 2017, Arisu won an Emmy for Outstanding Main Title Design for Netflix’s Stranger Things. She also earned an Emmy nomination in 2016 for designing the main titles for Marvel’s Jessica Jones, which was also awarded PromaxBDA Gold for Program Open/Titles. Arisu was featured in Art of Styleframe, and Art of The Title as one of 10 Women of Title Design of 2017. She is a member of the Television Academy and was on the judge panel for the 2017 and 2018 Motion Awards by Motionographer.
