David Hartman is a Senior Director at Target, where he leads the Brand Design Lab within Target Creative. He is responsible for the creative direction and execution of a growing portfolio of over 25 brands across categories include electronics, home goods, apparel, food & beverage and household essentials; over 10,000 SKUs and $20B in brand value.

His team has led large scale brand reinventions and the development of new brands including Good & Gather, Everspring, Smartly, Auden, Stars Above, Colsie, Universal Thread, Opalhouse, Heyday, Goodfellow & Co, A New Day, JoyLab, Project 62, Prologue, Wild Fable, Original Use, Cat & Jack.

David has spoken about design at regional and national conferences, including the Dieline Conference, HOW Design and the AIGA National Design Conference. Prior to joining Target he was a Design Director at agencies including Desgrippes Gobé, the Brand Integration Group (BIG) at Ogilvy and Arnell Group. His previous clients have represented technology, fashion and consumer products brands including Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Gucci, AVON, Kodak, AOL and Pepsi.
