ADC Awards

The ADC Annual Awards is the oldest continuously running industry award show in the world. Now in its incredible 102nd year, these awards celebrate the very best in advertising, digital media, graphic and publication design, packaging and product design, motion, experiential and spatial design, photography, illustration and fashion design all with a focus on artistry and craftsmanship.

John Mavroudis

John Mavroudis was the co-creator of three New Yorker covers including the 5th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It was named Cover of the Year by the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) and named one of the 10 Best Covers of the Year by Advertising Age. He also created the cover for The Nation magazine’s Obama Inaugural issue in January, 2009 and the Anti-Trump pre-election (October 2016) issue. He won his second Cover of The Year award for his 2018 typographic portrait of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. It was one of his three covers for TIME magazine. Various other work includes over two dozen posters for the legendary Fillmore poster series, dozens of posters for the band Moonalice, and the 60th Anniversary poster for the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in Greece. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Tam, and their 10-year old art director, Athena.
