As a Design Director, Despina focuses on the relationships between Spatial Design and Visual Communication. She uses contextual evidence and an iterative process to respond and resolve visual communication in the built environment. Her work reflects her belief in the importance of connecting people to place and the power of creating authentic identity. Despina’s intuitive and iterative approach to design leads to outcomes that are both versed and imaginative. Despina has led information design, mapping and environmental graphics projects focusing on user experience across Australia and around the world. Despina has presented about Wayfinding and Signage at design conferences in Australia, USA, UK and Europe. She has been invited to judge both national and international graphic and experiential graphic design competitions. Despina is a synesthete – Wednesdays are yellow.
