Shamel “Mel” Washington is an award winning art director with a strategic, meticulous streak. For over 15 years he has worked across disciplines connecting storytelling, problem-solving and design with category expertise spanning fashion to pharma, energy to entertainment. He has led creative teams, helped ignite important social conversations, even camped on top of a mountain above 7000ft altitude for a shoot because he loves this crazy business. When Shamel was also an accomplished photographer, shooting national campaigns for Chervon and Reebok. Now he is in pursuit of creating meaningful thought-provoking content that will bring awareness to an unmet need. When Shamel isn't locked-in to my monitor, you can find him cycling across the city or eating buffalo wings with his daughter.
