Francine Candiotti

Fashion Designer

New York, United States

I am an innovative Fashion Designer dedicated to creating apparel that links people of all sizes, race, cultures into a united entity. As a Fashion Designer I gained recognition for designing for athletes in the spotlight. I have been responsible for promulgating FILA tennis apparel for world class athletes competing at Wimbledon, French Open, US Open and the Olympic Games. I created FILA Tennis apparel for Marion Bartoli (2013 Wimbledon Champion), Kim Clijsters (2011 Australian Open Champion) and other athletes at the highest level of the sport. One of the highlights of my career was designing with SHAQUILLE O'NEAL “SHAQ”. I collaborated with him and designed his boys line, clothing for him as well. Then he worked with me to promote the line and to date it is one of my best experiences. In 2013, I was nominated for the Best Activewear Designer in Sport/Activewear category at the 2013 WGSN Global Fashion Awards which was a great achievement. My collections have been featured in Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily, T Magazine and other publications. For as long as I can remember, I have had the ability to predict future trends before they became mainstream or even visible to anyone else. That is why I have come to call myself a visionary. In 2017, I created a “Plus Size” collection for the FILA brand, promoting a positive body image for women and the FILA company. It has become the fastest growing division and I am very proud of it. As we look to the 2024 season I want to disrupt the apparel industry by bringing a new form of inclusion through innovative and human-centered design that creates clothing that is more accessible for all. I believe that the world has changed and fashion must evolve with it. I have the ability to create, expand and build brands because I understand the marketplace and its consumers. For instance, I believe that there is an urgent need for inclusive and regenerative changes that will drive demand for proactive products and business practices that actively improve the environment.
