ADC Awards

The ADC Annual Awards is the oldest continuously running industry award show in the world. Now in its incredible 102nd year, these awards celebrate the very best in advertising, digital media, graphic and publication design, packaging and product design, motion, experiential and spatial design, photography, illustration and fashion design all with a focus on artistry and craftsmanship.

Ben is graphic designer with a fascination for craft at scale. While his practice has spanned small luxury boutiques to global giants — he has naturally gravitated towards a focus on large scale, yet uncommonly artful identity systems. Here are a few things he’s proud of, in chronological order, more or less. Designweek named his brand Identity work for Spotify as "...some of the most globally defining to date". In 2017 he was honored as an ADC Young Gun (Class 15). In 2019 Fast Company named the Mailchimp rebrand as some of the best design that year, and more recently his utopian sci-fi inspired reimagination of investment app Robinhood was included in the best work of 2020 by Brand New. In 2021 as Partner at COLLINS and Creative Director of the San Francisco office, they won D&AD Design Agency of the Year. The TDC also named their SF Symphony rebrand the best project of the year. Recently Ben joined the Apple Design Team (the definitive authority on craft at scale) at their studio in Apple Park "one of the most faithfully guarded places of our time...a cradle of creativity and innovation, and the hub from which it shapes the world’s evolving relationship with technology."
