The Elements Music

Los Angeles, United States

Ian Dalsemer’s career in the music business started in the late 90’s at the legendary Hit Factory Studios in New York City, where he engineered for some of the world’s most distinguished record producers and iconic artists such as Beyoncé, Wu-Tang Clan, Pavarotti, Mariah Carey, and Elton John.

Quick to learn and having a forensic obsession for detail, Ian developed golden ears and sharp production skills from his time at the Hit Factory. Upon moving back to his native Los Angeles in the early 2000’s, he met longstanding friend and The Elements co-founder, J Bonilla, and the duo began writing and producing urban and pop tracks with a unique approach and authenticity that got them noticed by some key tastemakers in the world of music for media. Alongside working on records for superstars such as Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Keith Urban, and Christina Aguilera, the production duo also scored primetime television series and feature films.

As the projects got broader in style and scope, the duo decided to expand, and set out to create a music-for-media company that would keep their record-production ethos in place. They went on to partner with Andy Carroll and Dan Bewick from the UK, and together they’ve positioned The Elements as one of the premier international music companies, creating a highly sought-after sound for global brands such as Apple, TikTok, Audi, Nike, Samsung, NBA, and NBC/Universal, to name a few.

Ian now heads up growing teams of staff and talent across the US and London, and is a driving force at the heart of The Elements continued evolution in the music-for-media landscape.
