The ADC Annual Awards is the oldest continuously running industry award show in the world. Now in its incredible 102nd year, these awards celebrate the very best in advertising, digital media, graphic and publication design, packaging and product design, motion, experiential and spatial design, photography, illustration and fashion design all with a focus on artistry and craftsmanship.

Photographer, Matthew Jordan Smith is known for creating iconic photographs. He has worked with some of today’s biggest names in entertainment, fashion/beauty, and pop culture. Zendaya to Carlos Slim, Michael Jordan to the President of Iceland and recently, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the Western Digital Spotlight award in 2022, the Microsoft Icons of Imaging award, the WPPI Vision Award, and the George Eastman Power of Image award. To date, he has published three books. His first book, Sepia Dreams, shares images and stories of 50 celebrities as they share their journey of turning dreams into reality.

In 2021, the International Olympic Committee commissioned him to document life in the Olympic Village during a global pandemic, making him the first photographer to live in the Olympic Village during the Olympic Games. Only two other photographers in history have documented life in the Olympic Village (in 1936 and in 1999) but none lived in the village alongside the athletes for the duration of the games.

A native of Brooklyn New York, Matthew now resides in Tokyo, Japan.
