Levente Kovacs

Co-founder/Chief Creative Officer

White Rabbit Budapest

Budapest, Hungary

Levente is the Chief Creative Officer of White Rabbit Budapest, a creative agency he co-founded 15 years ago. He started his copywriter career at HKB Bozell, then he joined JWT Budapest as a creative group head. However, during his 22 years in advertising he never limited himself by job titles – he is a strategic thinker and a problem solver, who has developed strong and compelling brand narratives for clients such as: Heineken, Shell, KitKat, Nespresso, WWF Hungary, Vodafone, Alfa Romeo.

His work has been recognized at Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, LIA, Epica, NYF, Eurobest, AdStars. He also won several Effies (including the first ever Platina Effie in Hungary for long-term effectiveness), and his “Nice try” campaign is the first Hungarian work that made it to the cover of Luerzer’s Archive. He has also been fortunate enough to be on the judging panel of local and international festivals.

Levente is a lecturer at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. His passion and love for the creative industry is the driving force behind his blog on advertising history, called Reklamtörtenet (Advertising History), a popular platform of education for those who are interested in the world of marketing and advertising. He also translates and publishes influential marketing/advertising books into Hungarian to educate the next generation of creative hopefuls.

Levente is also into screenwriting and directing; his internationally awarded short Rododendron tells the drama of an agent of the Hungarian secret police on the day of the symbolic fence-cutting of the "Iron Curtain", that signalled the fall of the Communist Regime in Hungary 33 years ago.

He lives in Budapest with his son Daniel, daughter Sophie, and wife Adrienn – they are his greatest pride and inspiration.
