Sergiy Maidukov was born 1980 in Donetsk, Ukraine. In 2006 he moved in Kyiv, where studied drawing. In 2011, he started his career in illustration. He works with The New Yorker, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The Guardian, The Financial Times and other magazines. He leads (?) a personal illustration column in printed ZEIT Magazine started from March 2022, it is ‘Kyiv Diary’, and it is lightening the russian war against Ukraine from the first person. Some of his originals presented in Ukrainian fine arts museums. In 2021, he published the artbook ‘Kyiv’ that has Ukrainian and international awards. He leaded illustration workshops before the war.
