I'm Mayara Lista, illustrator and comic book artist based in Rio, Brazil.

I create dynamic and expressive drawings in a wide range of styles in both analogic and digital techniques. I love drawing characters in vibrant shapes, proportions and poses.

I have a BA in Visual Communication Design from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and (thanks to a scholarship) I was able to study illustration for one year at Kingston University, London. I'm currently doing a MA in Design, researching about comics and popular culture.

I’m the author of Naruna, my first comic book released independently in 2018 and awarded with HQMIX prize for best student project. Since the I've been crating and selfpublishing my comicbooks.

I’ve worked as a background artist for TV and film animations such as in Ico Bit Zip, Irmão do Jorel and Tromba Trem. Since 2020 I work as freelance illustrator for many purposes like editorial projects, illustrations and character design around the globe.

My work has been recently anounced as finalist on Latin American Design Awards.
