Hi! I'm João, a 24 year old designer from Brazil. I've been diving into the design world for the past 6 years and have really found my place in it. The possibility of creating work that gives a bit more meaning to the stuff we see around us everyday is something that gets me going, striving to reach for more.

I started studying advertising in Curitiba, my hometown, and felt that I could be doing more. The market was small and local work didn't get much visibility, so I went off by myself to São Paulo to study and work and spent the last 6 years there. After that, I wanted more and started looking for opportunities to work abroad. First I did some remote work in New York and later ended up in Amsterdam and have been here since April of this year.

I always want to reach out for more, expanding my horizons and doing more visible work, and I feel like joining the phenomenal roster of Young Guns is a great next goal in my career.

I'm also not only design oriented. I'm a professionally trained cook as a life plan B. My dad always says "if you know how to cook you have a job and a meal anywhere in the world", but that has become more of a hobby now. I've also played international gaming competitions and led the one of the biggest Call of Duty YouTube teams in Brazil. That being said, I can't do things halfway. Like most Latinxs, I've always been self taught in all I do. I like to dive deep, head first in new projects and have a good time while doing it.
