Chrissy Smith is a Senior art director at VIRTUE Worldwide, the creative agency powered by VICE. Soon to become Creative Director at Copenhagen based Butter Agency.

As a creative specialising in web 3.0 activations, Chrissy wants to challenge the norms for change. She’s created her own ‘pay-it-forward’ crypto community (@mccm_nft) to help female artists break into NFTs and designed ‘The Screenwear Paper’, the first Wearable fashion report with THE DEMATERIALISED. This year alone her work on Backup Ukraine picked up 20 awards across Cannes Lions and New York Festivals including a Grand Prix in Digital Craft.

She’s a leader, mentor and inspiration to a new generation of fearless female creatives, best exemplified by her showing on stage at Cannes when accepting the Grand Prix in digital craft: Not only did Christine and her team spray paint the golden statue in a tribute to Ukraine’s flag — she took to stage in sheer, seethrough bodysuit. While the industry might preach #freeingthenipple, this stood out in the sea of suits and potbellied polos that otherwise filled the stage as clear message of body positivity and inclusivity to a new generation of female creatives — noticed and discussed in trade press. Judged Decentraland Fashion Week + led talks for Parcel on digital fashion.

Furthermore she's ranked by Cannes Lions as this year's #5 art director in the world.
