Emily Sheehan, recently appointed Creative Director at FIG, has spent her career as a queer woman in advertising shedding light on matters disregarded, forgotten or ignored.

Inspired by a family member, Emily created “The Pregnancy Pause” - an award winning campaign that tackled paid maternity leave. “Missing Sounds of New York” was an album from The New York Public Library that helped New Yorkers hear the sounds they so desperately craved under lockdown during the pandemic. As a creative leader, Emily has spent her personal time mentoring new creatives through programs such as Scope of Work and MAIP. It’s not all serious, though: Emily loves nothing more than supporting a dumb-good idea backed by a smart insight that solves a client problem. She has been trusted with brands like Instagram, Pepsi, Virgin Voyages, Wrangler and AdCouncil.

Seven months into her first appointment as a Creative Director, Emily is busy at FIG producing a new campaign for Children’s Hospital Colorado, and recently launched the first brand campaign for Viator, a travel experience company.
