Aier Xu was born and raised in Shanghai, a city known for diversity and openness. She started her career at Wieden+Kennedy Shanghai in 2014 as an intern. Her birthday is the 21st of January and she’s not going to reveal her exact age.

During the past 6 years at W+K Shanghai, she’s created multi-platform communications for international brands including Nike, IKEA, Converse and also local clients like OPPO. Her work has been awarded by The One Show, ADFEST, Clio Awards and is greatly appreciated by her father.

As a trilingual creative who speaks Chinese, English and Japanese, Aier is obsessed with culture and truly believes in the power of diversity and equality because that's what brings out the best creativity. At W+K Shanghai she works closely with people from different cultural backgrounds with various genders and races to create work which is inspiring, disruptive and culturally relevant.
