Hannah Smit was born in the front seat of a Mazda 626 in Guelph, Ontario. She began her creative career in Toronto, making a lot of ads for toilet paper. Since then she’s worked at top agencies in both Australia and Europe, and has had the pleasure of working with many courageous clients including Nike, Milka, Facebook, United Colors of Benetton, Mitsubishi, and UNICEF.

Hannah’s work has been awarded Glass Lions, Gold Pencils and Grand Prix. It’s been exhibited in The Design Museum, covered by Time Magazine, debated on ESPN, and (organically) tweeted by Kim Kardashian. She’s been a Eurobest and Cannes Lion juror and in 2019 was named one of the One Club’s Next Creative Leaders.

When not creative directing Facebook at Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, Hannah enjoys riding her rusted boat around the canals and playing bad Rihanna covers on her guitar in the privacy of her home.
