Nam Nguyen was born and raised in The Bay Area of Northern California. He is the founder of Supervillain, a new agency based in Oakland, California. Before Supervillain, Nam was the Global Executive Creative Director of Intel and the internal agency, Agency Inside of which he was instrumental in it's design and growth. During his time there, he helped lead Intel to milestones such as FastCo’s Most Innovative Companies, AdAge’s Marketer A-List, and AdAge’s Internal Agency of the Year. He is also credited with building one of the most diverse and inclusive organizations within the company.

Before joining the brand side, Nam held key creative, strategy, and operational leadership roles at notable agencies such as AKQA, Edelman, Narrative, 360i and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, of which Forbes named him to their ’30 under 30 list’ for marketing and advertising.

Nam’s work and leadership approach in the industry are informed and rooted in his past life in the nonprofit sector, where he spent nearly a decade working in education, public health, youth and community development, philanthropy, and domestic and dating violence education and prevention. He works to put himself out of a job by preparing his teams to take his job.
