Katarina is an awarded Senior Creative with a Political Science degree. Her dream when she entered the world of advertising 7 years ago was to unite her passion for politics and social change with the transformative power of creativity. In 2017, she achieved this with her work for Australian Marriage Equality’s ‘Vote Yes’ campaign, which touched millions of Australians and was recognised globally for its effectiveness. In 2018, she ignited an international conversation around consent through her confronting passion project, ‘50 Shades of No’. As a young designer, she co-founded the design magazine The Young Ones as an inspirational tool for other young creatives entering a competitive industry. Since then, she has continued to support young creatives through mentoring, as an AWARD School tutor in 2020 and through speaking at industry events such as AGDA's First Five Out. Most recently, Katarina has put her energies into empowering women within her industry, co-founding the support system and gender equality initiative, The Aunties, and speaking on panels for women’s issues such as ShEqual and LockerRoom Talks.
