Cox Communications' brand purpose is "bringing us closer". They proudly believe in stepping in to provide human connection wherever it's needed most. So, when COVID-19 cancelled Thurman White Middle School’s play, we reimagined it as an animated film – voiced by the students. Working with Oscar winning director Patrick Osborne, we used mobile motion capture technology to record the students' performances, giving the class a chance to act together again from the safety of their own homes, forging much needed connection in an isolating time.

My Role in This Project
As the copywriter on this project, I worked closely with our production partners to guide the script development for the animated film, select the school we'd be partnering with, and cast the right kids for the roles. Our top priorities were inclusivity and fostering connection between this group of isolated students. For our clients, the "Making Of" film was as important as the project itself, so I worked to create a piece of content that could stand on its own, capturing the story of the project in a compelling, authentic, and emotional way.
